Killer copy in 4 weeks
Let’s fix your blah, boring, “I’d rather die than read this” copy
Punchline Copy is a conversion copywriting studio that’s helped dozens of SaaS teams boost their MRR, ARPU, LTV, and a bunch of other sexy acronyms.
Hey bud, this you?
Get your therapist on speed dial, ‘cause this section is gonna sting:
-
Your copy makes you sound exactly like everyone else. But you’re not. Right?
At a certain point, you max out the channels that got you to $1M ARR. Plateaus = slow death by churn, so it’s time to do something new.
You need to differentiate yourself among your competitors, talk directly to your ideal customers, and make an actual impression. You suspect you could earn more market share by being more memorable.
-
The thought of writing your own website and email copy makes you shrivel in secret places.
Sure, you’ve got the website you launched with two years ago and the basic lifecycle flows you haven’t touched since setup: onboarding, free trial-to-paid conversion, winback, etc.
But neither your emails and your website represent how your product has grown and changed (and you know there's more money hiding in your list).
-
You’ve yelled at Claude to write your copy and it still sucks.
Your product is solid. BUT every time you send someone your website link, you cringe.
You’ve got a steady stream of demos or free trial signups, but actual conversions are down bad. And not in a hot way.
Or maybe you're expanding your TAM and/or going upmarket, and need a messaging update to match.
-
You’ve plucked all the low-hanging fruit from your TAM.
Which is not a euphemism. Now you need to find more buyers like them, but your current copy makes you(r product) look like just another tool.
You have a lot of users, but engagement is low and churn is ticking up.
You know you should be sending more emails… but you would genuinely rather walk into the ocean with lead in every pocket of your JNCOs than open Customer.io.
Businesses that worked with me + liked it:
Is your tooth-achingly dull copy killing conversions (and your will to live)?
Now that you’ve escaped the ramen-o-sphere and reached an MRR your mom can be proud of, you’re starting to feel like your copy is a little stale. Not quite accurate to where you are, who you serve, and why they should choose you.
You couldn’t pick your own website out of a lineup of your competitors even with a gun to your head. And the last time anyone touched your lifecycle emails was to flick the “on” switch in Userlist and then slink away, tail between their legs.
But you’re not sure exactly what to change, or whether a SaaS company should even HAVE a “voice”. So you’re staring down the prospect of burning $5,000/mo on ads to send traffic to a website that doesn’t convert… or you’re already burning that cash. (I brought hot dogs!)
Rise to the top of the slop
Allow me to shriek two things I deeply believe while my anxiety medicine kicks in:
-
Brand is the last remaining differentiator.
AI made just-okay copy free to every business, which means the only thing left worth paying for is copy with taste, personality, and a pulse.
-
For most SaaS under $10 million ARR (and many above), copy opportunities are everywhere.
So instead of fiddling with features or getting sucked into paid acquisition, pull the most impactful lever you have: your words.

Presenting the Punchline Copy 4-Week Facelift
Here’s how it works:
-
Week 1
Research deep-dive + homepage rewrite
I learn everything about your business, your customers, and your competitors. We nail down your positioning and ICP, especially if things have shifted or you’re prepping to pivot. Then I rewrite your homepage. For most SaaS companies, this is the page that does the heaviest lifting and sets the tone for everything else.
-
Week 2
Website rewrite + email strategy
I rewrite the rest of your core website pages (usually Pricing, Feature Overview, and About, but we’ll pick what needs the most help). This is also when I map out your lifecycle email flows, see what you have and what you don’t, and start writing.
-
Weeks 3–4
Email lifecycle flows
I write up to four lifecycle series from scratch (usually onboarding/trial-to-paid, trial expiring, winback, and one more based on where your funnel needs the most help). We’ll prioritize based on your biggest opportunities for revenue and retention.
“It’s obvious Lianna practices her craft a lot
and deeply understands what is going to work and what isn’t. She really appreciates the value of being able to put yourself in other people’s shoes and understand what is going to be funny to everybody versus being deprecating about your comedy to other people.”

Meet your neurotic rodeo clown conversion
copywriter
Hi. I’m Lianna. You may have seen me hosting MicroConf, screaming about the psychosocial benefits of comedy on your favorite marketing podcast, or alone on my couch wolfing Ben & Jerry’s Half Baked in my underwear, in which case I must ask you to put down the binoculars.
More about meFrequently Asked Questions
If I book this, how much time will you need from me each week?
We’ll do 1-2 deep dive calls at the start so I can dig into your business, your ICP, your UVP, and all those other sexy acronyms I mentioned at the top of this page. After that, we’ll review copy either async or on a weekly call. Every asset I deliver comes with 2 rounds of revisions so we can get it Pitch Perfect, which is a movie that a bunch of my college a cappella group members were in (I had to work).
How long will it take to see results?
We’ll benchmark everything before I jump in, so your four-week engagement ends with before-and-after numbers on the KPIs we establish (trial signups, paid conversion, retention). Most clients see meaningful movement within 30-60 days of shipping the new copy.
Will you write our blog or social posts?
No thank you, please!
How much does it cost?
$15K for a four-week engagement, which covers four core pages of website copy rewritten from scratch and up to four lifecycle email series written, loaded, and ready to ship. (It also often comes with a bunch of tagline ideas, social media and video concepts, content strategy guidance, and much deeper insights into your core positioning and messaging.)
Which website pages do you rewrite?
Usually Home, Features/Platform Overview, Pricing, and About, since those are the load-bearing ones when it comes to conversion. But we’ll pick the pages that matter most to your business.
Which lifecycle email flows are included?
Up to four. The usual suspects are onboarding/free trial-to-paid, trial expiring, winback, and one more we’ll choose together based on your biggest revenue leak. If your business needs a different flow, we’ll talk about it.
Do you load the emails into our ESP?
If you want me to! I can work directly in Customer.io, Userlist, or whatever you’re using. Or I can deliver everything in Google Docs if you prefer to load ’em in yourself. Big fan of making this as easy as possible for you.
Do you offer anything smaller than this engagement?
I sure do, bud. Let’s talk about what you need on a call.
What is the sound of one hand clapping?
Kind of a muffled, spastic flap.
